What the hell!!!

You know there are some things that I will never understand. I went and picked Maison up at daycare this evening and my daycare provider informed me that she no longer is going to do evening and weekend care. WTF!!! Now I am so screwed. I am now on the hunt to find someone that will watch Maison part time and will be able to watch him with Dennis's crapy schedule. Which by the way is not a normal schedule and people just don't undersatnd it. No not all military work monday thry friday 7-430. HAHA!!! I only wished. No he works 3 on 2 off 2 on 3 off. (pretty much every other weekend. I choose this women because her husband does the same job as Dennis and knows the schedule and had no problem with it.) Until now. She says it is to hard and the daycare office is to hard on her for night and weekend care. UGH!!! Ok I know this is my vent. And to top it off it is windy today the place that never sees wind is windy!!! Everyone is like it is never like this here. I am thinking give me -50 any day over this wind, it makes it worse outside. And yes it is sitting at -30 right now. Oh well/ I am off to bed so good night. Kari

The first day of blogging

Hello to all my family and friends, I have deicied to take after my darling sister and make a blog for everyone to read. For those of you that do not know Dennis is back from Korea and we now live in Alaska. Eielson Air Force Base to be correct. It is a base that is all by itself not connected to a town. But North Pole Alaska is a 15 minute drive away and Fairbanks is a 30 minute drive. There are things that completly amaze me up here. I would of thought a town of Fairbanks with the population that it has that there would be a mall. Do you know that there is no mall, no big stores, nothing the town that has one is seven hours away. I am thinking where the hell did we land ourselfs this time. And to think we wanted to come here. Do not get me wrong we love it up here, its beautiful, Dennis's loves his job (he is now the flight chief of Badger flight) and I have a great job. I love the weather and yes I have made it through -56!! I am so proud of myself. Dennis didn't leave the house on that day well the first day it did that I had to go to work that day. It was cold and I actually had to get my thick winter coat out and my gloves. Maison loves the snow and man there is alot of it. But we have adjusted to the constant negative temps but hey there is NO WIND!!!! Loving that! For those of you that think we live in constant darkness that meith is not true. Yes we went through a month of only 4 hours of daylight but now we are into normal sunlight. We are waiting for it to warm up and to get started on the yard work that is ahead of us. Do you know how hard it is to pick up frozen dog poop. I swear I should connect a bag to there butts so it can catch it cause that stuff freezes before it hits the ground..But we love it up here. We are planning our summer all ready. We are going to take a trip to Seward and Dennis's family is coming in August so I know we will be going places then. In May we will be heading to Anchorage to do some much needed Mall time!! LOL I am so saving up for that one. On another note. We still have our house for sale in Wyoming. It was sold and two days before closing the lady pulled out. It took us 7 days to get here from Monatana and that was a very long drive. We drove both cars up here. Well I hope this finds you all well. And I have some pictures up on photo bucket if you all want to see them. Love yah!!
